Lol hi there everyone! It’s been a long while! I’m not sure if anyone is still here but I figured I would put this out there in case anyone is still lurking around in the shadows. It’s been like 3 years and a lot has changed, I’m not going to bore anyone with putting it all down but just wanted to come back and say that I’m alive if anyone cares lol.
Long story short I’ve been around and busy with school and life, three years passed by in the blur but DA was always in the back of my head and I kept saying I would check in but it never happened. I also in the meantime stopped doing art to focus on school and I recently graduated from university with my degree! Given the state of the world I still haven’t secured a job so I decided I would pick up art again and see where it leads me. DA has changed a lot it seems and I’m not sure if I like it enough to return here, but I did want to start posting again and decided I would make an Instagram. In true me fashion the first post has been sailor moon related but I think I’ll be posting a lot more varied content now that I’m older and into more things.

I probably won’t be using this account much anymore but who knows, maybe I’ll come back and post other things once in a while since the platform was intended For art anyways. As some or none of you may know I will be turning 21 exactly one week from now on the 12th. I am a college student so I obviously live in a college town and I may or may not want to go out for my birthday, whether just for dinner or to party or something I don't know. But!! I would love to hear some ideas as to what I should do as an alternative if anyone has an idea/what did y'all do you for 21st/what do you want to do when you have a 21st? Also for my entertainment and to get me to be a little active while I die in school (it's only the second week of classes and I am already behind in like 3/4) drop a fun fact about yourself or something in the comments and I will reply with a fun fact about myself/or something!

Oh wow oh wow oh wow it's been a super long time since I've been on! I've been lurking around for a while but between life, school, and my temp job I don't have energy for much else other than lurking. I have also decided to start clean and just literally remove everything from my inbox, please don't be offended but it just gives me a lot of anxiety to have that all piled up and I feel like I should really look through the art and comment but I just can't and it starts this whole mess of why I kinda left DA for a bit. But the inbox is now clean and I have nothing to look at except the new art that will be coming in after tonight. Though I really wish my return to DA was due to me just wanting to do art again and not having to worry about anything.
However due to some unforeseen circumstances I will be out of a job for the next month and a half and kinda need some money so I'll be opening commissions until I start school again and may do a waitlist for when I am on break and need something to do/need to make a little more money. The gist of it is that college is expensive and my seasonal retail job was terminated a month earlier than I expected so I essentially lost about $800-$1000 I could have had made not counting the commission I also made on selling items. My savings are totally shot because I only get to work like 3 months out of the year when not in school and I could really use some help trying to make and save as much as I can before school starts and I legitimately cannot do digital art until either winter or next Summer. I'm offering relatively low priced and kinda quick commissions for anyone interested, because lets face it: I am out of practice and my art isn't as great as it could be if I had been practicing more while I was gone. I have also gotten a new laptop and will now need to buy SAI for realsies this time around so that is some more money that I need to drop before I can even start making money, it kinda stresses me out but at the same time I have always done better under some stress .w.
I am offering 3 types of commission:
$7/700
full coloured bust portrait background included
$15/1500 full coloured full body background included
(Negotiable) Flat colour clothing/character design
That's about all I have for now, I'll probably come back and update sooner rather than later since my last two scheduled days of work will be Sunday and Monday. And even if you can't commission spreading the word also helps! And if my prices are a bit out of your range but you would still like to drop a dollar or two I'd love to be able to give you something in return! I'll do quick sketches/lines/and maybe a little colour for anyone who has a couple dollars but can't flat out purchase a commission. I am opening unlimited spots but won't be asking for payment until I finish the previous commission, think of it as a place holder! I really dislike that this is the first thing that brings me back but all I am thinking about right now is how much I'm going to have to pay for rent and stuff when the school year starts and would like to have a little cushion to make up for the loss month's worth of work.

So after some thinking this weekend about the canvas boards-which some how I have like 10, they seriously need to go so please commission and take them off my hands-I've decided to give this a test run and see how it goes. Also doing some small discounts because this is a test run and ya'll are willing to be my guinea pigs so you should get something off, also because holiday spirit and happy things happened~

Please help me figure this out
Removing and recycling old journal because I want the next one to actually be a grand comeback journal. Also, shameless commission promo right here. I'm a loser I know. But anyways, so over the course of the last 2 years I have somehow accumulated a lot of canvas boards. Like A LOT, I don't have use for them since I prefer painting on an actual stretched canvas and all the art people I know around me don't really want them either. Woopee somehow we all only like stretched canvas lol. But ANYWAYS, I've decided not to return to retail this holiday season to make the money I need for some holiday shopping and what not. Also because some shit happened recently and I want to be somewhat financially stable until/if it gets sorted out. But I am thinking about doing painted commissions on those boards if anyone is interested. I've only roughly thought it out and I would like feed back since this would be my first time dealing with shipping/paypal/whatnot
What I already know I am doing with the commission/About the commission thus far
This commission would look a little something like this
The commission would be shipped to you I would probably only accept paypal The canvas boards are about 6X8 (Or something like that, I need to check) and the paint is acrylic I can only do headshots and busts The commission would come with a background/background would be factored into pricing already. I can also just do plain galaxies/whatever if anyone just wants one of those I would like to try and have them shipped out by the holidays in case anyone wants them for gifts/to gift themWhat I need help on
