Symphogear: Tsubasa

Wow okay, first picture in a little over 2 months. Although the sketch has been sitting around for a very long time now, and I drew it as a birthday picture for myself since I haven't been feeling the best. Wow, school really did eat all my time. Things are coming along slowly if anyone is wondering. Commissions are my top priority when it comes to art but sometimes I just need a break, so please bare with me while I try to get things done in a timely fashion-haha like that will happen

So recently-well not really recently, but the second season just finished-I've really gotten into this show and really I adore animes with amazing songs and most of the time if Nana Mizuki is involved I'll probably like it. But this show has such a small fan base that I thought I should contribute to it a little bit and try to get people to see it.

The premesis of the show is basicly humanity lives in fear of "aliens" known as Noise that when it comes in contact with humans turns them into the base element of carbon but everyone still lives a pretty normal life and there is a secret organization that devotes time to fight these aliens. The only things able to destroy these aliens are Symphogears, ancient relics that stem from mythology from around the world(although most seem to be Norse and Summerian myths)-so it takes a bit of mythology knowledge to get why the weapons are what they are. Like for instance the girl up there-Tsubasa-owns the relic Ame no Habakiri and her weapon is a katana, now if you knew your mythology then you would know that Ame no Habakiri is a sword carried by the Shinto God Susanoo. So they basicly use music to harmonize with the relics to emit phonic energy to destroy the Noise. It's a pretty good show and I liked it, and I've never been a huge fan of mecha stuffs. The show gets pretty dark at time and then goes back to magical girl with a dash of fanservice thrown in. But loved it, lots of great music and pretty cool characters.

I recomend it if you're into Mecha, Sci-Fi, Magical Girls, and Musical Animes. And now if you excuse me I will go back to my hours of homework and will answer messages and deviations at some other time.
