First Watercolour Still Life Attemptby ~Ayachi-chan

Traditional Art / Paintings / Still Life

It was our final last semester to do a watercolour still life. Now keep in mind I have NEVER worked with watercolours before and it was the first time it was such as huge assignment. I think I did quite well although I had a buttload of issues with my paint. I wish I had been able to do the wood textures on the chair but everytime I tried to go over the dried paint the wet paint would lift the colours off the paper. I think you can even see where that happenened. And then we had the problem with people moving the still life and the light when my picture was half painted so for the most part some of us had to rely in prior knowledge of light sources to get it back to where it would look natural. Now that I look closely at it SO MANY MISTAKES AND ISSUES. I think the paper has issues with me when I was painting too ._.

But overall I scored good marks and LOVE this picture. My teacher is wanting to take it for a while, took some pestering for me to get it back if only for a while.
